Keren and Ian at Scripps Seaside Forum
Keren and Ian decided to host their wedding weekend here in San Diego all the way from New York. This couple wanted to make sure they hosted a fun and unique event where their guests enjoyed every minute.
The Process: They contacted me prior to booking anything which is always fun to start from scratch. After talking about their wants and needs for their event I believed Scripps Seaside Forum was the best match for their event. The great thing about this venue is not only can you pick and choose your vendors, it is also a blank slate for design.
The design for the wedding was built completely around the brides gorgeous and non-traditional dress. I fell in love the first time I saw it! We took all the colors from the dress and incorporated it into the flowers along with the gold thread that ran through it that you could see when the sun hit it.
They wanted to incorporate their Jewish tradition while taking a modern take on things. Their family and friends and their love for each other really was the basis for everything. You can see their love for their guests with their unique design on the guest seating chart. They had a photo of each and every guest to show them to their table.
Challenges: The only challenge for choosing if we went with all color for flowers and decor to match dress or if we went all greens and whites with flowers so the dress stood out. The couple went back and forth a few times but opted for the color everywhere except the Chuppah which had only white and green.
